Vision & Mission

Life Church is a place where this heavenly transaction will take place:

Jesus provides, we receive, we give.

Isaiah 61:1-4

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, - Jesus & us
because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. - Jesus & us
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, - Jesus & us
to proclaim freedom for the captives - Jesus & us
and release from darkness for the prisoners, -Jesus & us

2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour - Jesus & us
and the day of vengeance of our God, - God.
to comfort all who mourn, - Jesus & us,
but we receive it too

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion - Jesus & us,
but we receive it tooto bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, - Jesus & us,
but we receive it toothe oil of joy instead of mourning, - Jesus & us,
but we receive it tooand a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. - Jesus & us,
but we receive it too
They will be called oaks of righteousness, - Us
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour. - Us

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins - Us
and restore the places long devastated; - Us
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. - Us

I shared some of a prophetic word that Amberley Klinkenberg gave Life Church in 2016. Here is a small excerpt:

“This place is going to be a place where there’s going to be incredible signs and wonders… incredible healing in this house… I also felt like this was going to be a place of incredible heart surgery for people. With this presence of God that’s in this place, it’s actually going to just flow out into the community naturally.”

I see Life Church as a place where we adopt the model of BELONG  - BELIEVE - BECOME. In doing this, we will see the outworking of Isaiah 61 and Amberley’s prophetic word. The church that I see will be:

a vibrant and alive church worshipping freely from its revelation of a grounded identity in Jesus and of knowing the Fathera community of believers who have a greater revelation of worship, who desire to – and know how to – host God’s presence, knowing they are one in Him a congregation of passionate and empowered people flourishing in their gifts and areas of expertisean active participant in the unity between churches in our region, partnering together with no limitations, united in our love for the Fathera house of prayerknown for being One Church with Two Culturesknown for its unityknown for doing family wellknown for its excellenceknown for its freedoma place of healinga city on a hill Our values and priorities flow from all of the above.

Here is an incomplete list: The Presence of God,Worship, Family, Love, Grace, Honour, Building healthy people, Building healthy teams, Unity, Justice, Excellence, Positivity.

We are very excited about this new season for Life Church and look forward to doing amazing things together.
